Data & hosting

Moonemail is a Halyard Labs product. This page explains the service’s hosting boundaries during the invite-only pilot.

Email delivery data

The application resources we operate for email content, recipient details, delivery events and account records are configured in the AWS Asia Pacific (Sydney) region. The service uses Amazon Web Services for email delivery, storage, processing and account authentication.

AWS also operates service-wide systems, including SES global suppression. Customer-selected agents and webhooks can receive data outside Australia. See the provider register for these boundaries.

This is a hosting location, not a guarantee of Australian ownership or legal sovereignty. Amazon Web Services is a US provider. Once an email is delivered, its recipient’s mail provider determines where their copy is stored.

The public website

This marketing website is served through Cloudflare’s global network. The email API and dashboard are hosted separately in Sydney. The public website does not send or store your application’s email content.

Billing and enquiries

If billing is enabled, Stripe separately processes billing details and payment information, which may be processed outside Australia. Email content, recipient lists and API keys are not sent to Stripe.

Early-access enquiries go to our business email address. Please describe your use case without attaching recipient lists, credentials or private email content.

Before you start

The privacy policy explains collection, access, complaints and retention. Bodies and delivery events are scheduled to expire after 30 days; message summaries, subjects, recipient addresses and suppression records do not currently have the same automatic expiry. Deletion requests are handled through support.

Review the pilot terms and sending rules during onboarding. If you need a data processing agreement or a detailed review of retention and subprocessors, contact us before using the service.
